The Pantanas album cover for Hosanna detail

The Lord’s Abba

The Pantanas are decent God fearing people. Their music has delivered a sinner from evil and praised His name on high. The Pantanas have spread the Word though songs like: “Let Me Touch Him” and “When God Dips His Love in My Heart.”

In spite of the righteous path they have taken they just couldn’t get a better picture taken for the cover of their 1982 record titled “Hosanna.”

There is something unspeakably stiff in their postures. I know it ain’t the Holy Spirit. A million smiles can’t soften their stage freight.

It’s a beautifully composed photograph that leaves me with a feeling of unease.
